Job Title: Plant Continuous Improvement Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Site Leadership Team at the Severnside, Bristol plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the plant, developing the site roadmap to build CI capability and culture, and leading and mentoring CI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a site-wide continuous improvement strategy aligned to the Global Supply Chain Excellence guidelines
  • Lead and mentor CI initiatives, generating a healthy pipeline of projects and initiatives in line with the company's strategies and goals
  • Develop and support 5S champions in the network, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees on CI methods and tools, ensuring a high level of understanding and adoption
  • Monitor and report on 5S & CI KPIs and metrics, providing insights to inform business decisions

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Continuous Improvement Lead or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering change
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or other similar qualification desirable
  • At least 3 years of direct management experience in a supply chain discipline, e.g., logistics, operations, planning, manufacturing
  • Experience of using 5S/LEAN/Six Sigma processes to deliver solutions
  • Implementation of projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training across a site
  • Ability to shape the site strategy at management level, combined with driving hands-on change on the shop floor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled with the use of Microsoft and other business software applications, including SAP and Minitab

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
