About the Role

The Severnside, Bristol plant is part of our CHEP UK network, processing 5 million pallets per year and employing 120 staff. We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Site Leadership Team, driving the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the Severnside plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a site roadmap to build CI capability and culture aligned to the Global Supply Chain Excellence guidelines.
  • Lead and mentor CI initiatives, generating a healthy pipeline of projects and initiatives in line with the company's strategies and goals.
  • Develop and support 5S champions in the network.
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees on CI methods and tools.
  • Monitor 5S & CI KPIs and metrics, reporting on progress.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Continuous Improvement Lead working with cross-functional teams to deliver change.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or other similar qualification desirable.
  • At least 3 years of direct management experience in a supply chain discipline.
  • Experience of using 5S/LEAN/Six Sigma processes to deliver solutions.
  • Implementation of projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training across a site.
  • Ability to shape the site strategy at management level, combined with driving hands-on change on the shop floor.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Skilled with the use of Microsoft and other business software applications.
  • Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills.
