Major Gifts Fundraising Executive – Part-time Opportunity
A unique chance to support an independent school's development office in a high-profile fundraising campaign, targeting high net worth individuals.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mid-level fundraiser to join our team and build their expertise in major gifts work. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful prospect engagement and experience working with high net worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Director of Development in preparing and executing a comprehensive fundraising campaign strategy, focusing on engaging key prospects and securing significant donations.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with a portfolio of high-value donors, identifying opportunities to secure funding and achieve strategic goals.
  3. Collaborate with the Database & Operations Manager to create and manage donor profiles, ensuring effective engagement and solicitation plans are in place.
  4. Work closely with colleagues across the organization to develop and implement strategies for prospect engagement and donor stewardship.
  5. Support the Senior Development Manager in growing constituent participation in giving, particularly through regular donation appeals.
  6. Partner with the Director of Development to identify and cultivate new major gift opportunities, leveraging relationships and networks to drive success.
  7. Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising engagement events, maximizing visibility and securing valuable connections.
  8. Provide administrative support to the Director of Development on various campaigns and initiatives as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Proven experience in major gifts fundraising, with a strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with high net worth individuals.
  2. Ability to use initiative and prioritise tasks effectively, managing a portfolio of prospects and delivering results-driven outcomes.
  3. Highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Target-driven, with a strong commitment to achieving fundraising goals and objectives.
  5. Flexibility to travel within the UK, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  6. Credible and discreet, with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  7. Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
  8. Experience working with a fundraising CRM system, such as Raiser's Edge.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (pro rata), based on full-time equivalent. This is a part-time position, with 2-3 days per week available. Hybrid working arrangements, with the option to work from home or our London office.
