Fire & Security Project Engineer Opportunity

Marlowe Fire & Security, a leading specialist business within the Marlowe Fire and Security Group, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering small and large projects across the Marlowe portfolio, ensuring programme deadlines are achieved while maintaining profitability, health, safety, and quality to company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Liaising with key clients to ensure programme deadlines are achieved while maintaining profitability, health, safety, and quality to company requirements.
  2. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  3. Processing cost sheets to the purchasing department.
  4. Planning and controlling labour and materials required to deliver the project.
  5. Ensuring all engineering paperwork is allocated to the engineers and following project completion, ensuring commissioning is completed correctly.
  6. Providing technical expertise as required on projects.
  7. Attending site meetings as required.
  8. Line management of engineers and sub-contractors as assigned, including management of employees.
  9. Managing job profitability of assigned projects and reporting into the project manager.
  10. Controlling all aspects of health and safety on sites.
  11. Carrying out installation and commissioning of systems and minor works when required.
  12. Ensuring the maintenance of Marlowe quality and HSE standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the fire and security industry.
  • Experience of engineering projects across single and multiple site locations.
  • Technical knowledge of major systems and projects.
  • Demonstrable technical experience with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work well in a team environment or on their own.
  • A driven and enthusiastic individual that relishes a challenging environment.

  • Basic Salary – £40-46,000 subject to experience
