Job Description

**Financial Transactions Supervisor (Maternity Cover)**

**About the Role**

The Financial Transactions Supervisor (maternity cover) is responsible for supporting the finance team in ensuring all financial transactions are processed in an efficient and effective way and bad debt is kept to an absolute minimum.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices across both the Charity and Trading Subsidiary and ensure speedy resolution of all supplier queries.
  • Ensure all customer invoices (excluding event settlements) are raised correctly and debt is collected and reconciled
  • Prioritise workloads for the Accounts Payable Assistant
  • Support the Treasury Assistant with payment allocation queries to identify the correct account for incoming payments
  • Establish close working relationships with businesses and become the 'go to person' to solve complex queries
  • Working with the Head of Finance and wider team to identify and implement process improvements

**Requirements**

  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or leisure sector
  • Experience working with advanced computerised accounting packages
  • Broad practical experience of working on both Purchase and Sales Ledgers
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to financial detail
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week for a fixed term to cover a period of maternity leave. It is expected that the fixed term will last approximately 12 months.

The role is based at Alexandra Park and Palace, a leading cultural and entertainment venue in London.
