About the Role

CER Financial is seeking a highly experienced Transaction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial real estate finance team, you will be responsible for managing the entire transaction lifecycle, from origination to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Origination and Implementation: Support the origination of new business and implementation of business strategy, working closely with our sales and marketing teams to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Support the assessment of potential customers, definition, and selection of target customers in assigned regions and markets, and maintain existing customer relationships to ensure strategic criteria are met and earnings and risk requirements are observed.
  • Transaction Management: Manage commercial real estate transactions through their entire lifecycle, including assessment, negotiation, and documentation of credit approvals, and management of internal administration processes.
  • Deal Team Management: Set up, coordinate, and lead deal teams, and manage the credit approval process, including monitoring of the credit approval process up to the credit decision across all decision-making levels.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Ongoing monitoring of existing portfolio over the term of the loans until repayment, ensuring that all financial and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Knowledge Transfer and Development: Maintain a high level of expertise and facilitate knowledge transfer within the wider team, monitoring regulatory, sector, and industry-specific market and influencing factors, and supporting the back office and special credit departments in the development and implementation of restructuring and recovery concepts.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of professional real estate financing and loan management experience.
  • Skills: Highly experienced in structuring complex commercial real estate transactions, expert knowledge of legal, regulatory, and industry requirements, comprehensive knowledge of the UK commercial real estate market, and excellent credit, analytical, and modelling skills.
