Veetee seeks a highly skilled Logistics and Supply Chain Management Specialist to join its team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, from order processing to managing internal systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for customer order processing, management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. They will also supervise the team, handle pressing matters in the absence of the Logistics and Customer Services Manager, and ensure regular reporting of On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer order processing and management, answering queries, investigating discrepancies, and resolving stock issues.
  • Supervising the team and handling pressing matters when the Logistics and Customer Services Manager is absent.
  • Ensuring accurate OTIF reporting and maintaining high service levels.
  • Checking accruals and verifying financial transactions.
  • Carrying out Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping and manual reservations.
  • Reconciling discrepancies between actual and paperwork, and updating our in-house system accordingly.
  • Managing credit notes and returns from customers, as well as checking proof of deliveries and uploading pods to our system.
  • Providing backup support for stock control and customer services teams.
  • Offering general administrative support to the team and the Logistics and Customer Services Manager.
  • Verifying invoices for third-party warehouses and transport, and resolving any related queries.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for relevant accounts of Customer Managers at Veetee.
  • Communicating with production departments to highlight shortages and request production dates.
  • Supporting inter-departments by compiling reports on stock availability, service levels, and other supply-related issues.
  • Collaborating with warehouse and accounts teams to resolve goods receipt issues.
  • Monitoring daily dispatch schedules, making updates as required, and booking external transport using hauliers' portals.
  • Ensuring sample orders are processed and packed correctly.
  • Completing part picking order updates and organizing collections from customers.
  • Cash sales processing for employees and performing other duties assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A strong background in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade A-C (4-9) or equivalent.
  • A good understanding of supply chain processes and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced setting, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems, although not essential.
  • A positive attitude, ability to adapt to changing priorities, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Working Conditions

This role is based in an office environment, Monday to Friday, with occasional requirements to work outside of standard hours. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
