At National Grid, we're upgrading the electricity grid to make it fit for the future. As a Mechanical and Electrical Fitter, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the lights stay on and society keeps moving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of new equipment and refurbishment of existing equipment
  • Maintenance of substation plant and equipment
  • Fault investigation and repair
  • Routine condition monitoring

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 2/3 recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Good all-round engineering skills, including working to safety procedures, mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, and fault finding
  • Full UK driving licence
