Job Summary

The Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Neuro Developmental Disorders Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver non-medical prescribing interventions for service users with ADHD in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide non-medical prescribing services to service users with mental health conditions, specializing in ADHD.
  • Work collaboratively with medical staff and other professionals to prescribe medications for the treatment of ADHD.
  • Contribute to governance and audit, ensuring high-quality service delivery and dignity, privacy, and respect for service users.
  • Participate in clinical audits, trials, and research, and take a role in monitoring service performance.
  • Provide clinical supervision to nurses and other professionals, and contribute to the development of service policies and initiatives.

Person Specification
  • Registered Nurse on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register.
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification (independent or supplementary prescriber).
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience of working with people with a diagnosis of ADHD and/or other co-morbid mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Experience of supervising staff and working with adults with ASD and/or ADHD.
