Non-Medical Prescribing Specialist

The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver non-medical prescribing interventions for the Neuro Developmental Disorders (NDD) Service in the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. The post-holder will specialize in providing non-medical prescribing services to service users with mental health conditions, particularly those with ADHD.
Main Responsibilities- Provide non-medical prescribing services to service users with mental health conditions, specializing in ADHD.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver non-medical prescribing interventions for the NDD Service.
- Develop and maintain accurate clinical records and ensure that Clinical Governance targets are met in relation to prescribing and other specialist areas.
- Provide cover for clinics in the event of staff absence and participate in clinical audits, trials, and research.
- Access clinical supervision in accordance with Trust policies and provide Clinical Supervision to Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Be proactive in the development and evaluation of further service development initiatives and service policy relevant to the area of specialization.
- Initiate, develop, and use innovative strategies to meet client needs and contribute to the development of the NDD service.
- Act as an advisor in the development of services as appropriate to the role.
This is an exciting time to join our Neuro Developmental Disorders Team as we expand to cover the five North Central London Boroughs of Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey for Autism. Our ADHD services cover the North Central London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. With newly increased funding for both our Autism and ADHD services, we aim to improve the service we provide and decrease wait times.
