About the Role

As a Defence Sector Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for providing project management governance and overseeing project activities to ensure successful delivery of defence sector projects.

  • Create project plans, schedules, and determine milestones to meet internal and external customer expectations.
  • Coordinate tasks, scopes, objectives, and timelines across different teams to achieve project goals.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans to ensure project objectives are achieved without compromising safety or quality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Record task progress, update project plans, and ensure accessibility.
  • Build internal and external customer relationships throughout projects.
  • Ensure projects run within cost, quality, and time metrics.
  • Submit project deliverables on time and document any delays or disruption.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across project teams.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A thorough understanding of project management principles and standards (APM, PMP, or PRINCE2).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management Gated Process and other techniques such as APQP or Agile process.
  • Excellent working understanding of Microsoft Project or JIRA applications.
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate complex project activities.
