Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their Newcastle office. As a key member of the design team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including commercial, retail, residential, and industrial.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, including dilapidation reports and due diligence structural surveys, to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Utilize a range of software packages, such as CSC Fastrak and TEDDS, to analyze and design structural systems, supporting reporting tasks.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of technical output, including drawings and reports, to meet client expectations.
- Liaise with and lead other design team members to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets client objectives.
- Lead small to medium refurbishment and building extension projects, applying your expertise to deliver successful outcomes.
- First degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is essential.
- Varied experience in common construction forms and building types is required.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software is essential.
