About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Governance Officer to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Board Secretariat, you will provide administrative and logistical support to the Trust's Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Governor meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, confidential, and high-quality administrative and logistical support to the Trust's Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Governor meetings.
  • Assist in the establishment, coordination, maintenance, and ongoing development of corporate governance processes and systems to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Produce high-quality minutes of complex meetings, capturing precise and succinct action points.
  • Plan, collate, and distribute meeting papers, and follow up on actions at board and committee meetings.
Requirements
  • Experience of business administration in a large complex organisation.
  • Organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance practices and their value to the organisation, particularly in the public sector.
  • Good working knowledge of computer programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
