Job Summary

The Smartlist is seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Support Officer to join our team. As a Student Support Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the progression of young people aged 16-19 on our study program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of young people, working with them to identify and arrange suitable training and work taster opportunities.
  • Agree and monitor learning plans, providing mentoring and coaching to support young people's goals.
  • SOURCE placements for young people, ensuring they have access to relevant training and work experiences.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards IAG Level 3 or 4, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change, with a cheerful disposition and a passion for supporting young people's success.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £27,500 per annum pro-rata for Term Time Only (40 weeks).
  • 37 hours per week, with flexibility to work Term Time Only.
