Compliance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Compliance Manager to join our Risk and Compliance team. As a senior compliance professional, you will provide oversight and challenge to ensure all significant compliance and conduct risks are identified, managed, and reported to the Board and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a compliance expert, partnering senior leaders on control environments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Interpret and communicate emerging regulatory requirements to senior management, ensuring products and services comply.
  • Maintain awareness of UK and EU regulatory developments, liaising with regulators and ensuring compliance policies are current.
  • Oversee first-line controls and assess fraud and financial crime risk across the organization.
  • Analyse and communicate the impact of changing regulatory requirements to wider business.
  • Provide compliance input on business transformation projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to prepare for future regulatory changes.
  • Deliver regulatory updates and risk analysis to management and executive reports.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar compliance/audit role within Financial Services, ideally in Insurance.
  • Solid understanding of the UK Regulatory environment and relevant legislation.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Ability to review procedures, communicate findings, and influence senior management to ensure compliance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
