Job Summary

In this role, you will work as a key member of the theatre team, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures. You will be responsible for delivering excellent perioperative care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes, and contributing to the overall success of patient care within the orthopaedic surgical unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort throughout their surgical journey.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated theatre team to foster a collaborative atmosphere, working together to achieve optimal outcomes for patients and enhance the efficiency of surgical operations.
  • Leverage specialised experience in orthopaedic surgeries to inform clinical decisions and contribute to the overall success of patient care within the orthopaedic surgical unit.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an orthopaedic setting, a valid NMC/HCPC Pin, and evidence of relevant professional development in previous roles or placement. The successful applicant will also hold a mentorship qualification and be able to support and guide junior staff and nursing students.
