Flight Systems Engineer

Location: Prestwick – Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available.

As a Flight Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for producing and issuing systems engineering data to meet project requirements, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule adherence. You will collaborate with other engineering and project areas to develop comprehensive solutions, performing tasks depending on the project lifecycle phase, including requirements development, system design, integration, qualification, and testing. You will also write specifications, reports, and proposals, and implement best practice systems lifecycle processes for new systems development. Additionally, you will support delivered systems and resolve any issues with customers.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM subject (e.g., Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
  • Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and experience applying systems engineering practices
  • Demonstrated experience in Mechanical, Propulsion, Electrical, Avionics, or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably within aerospace
  • Ability to research system design data and solve complex problems
