Job Description

Senior PHP Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Software Developer to join our team at Onyx-Conseil. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing software with PHP and MySQL, with a strong focus on commercial experience.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of database optimization and caching technologies, such as Memcached, Redis, or Varnish. They will also be comfortable working with back-end business logic and have experience with best-practice front-end development using jQuery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain high-quality PHP software applications using MySQL databases.
  2. Design and implement efficient database schema and optimize database performance.
  3. Implement caching technologies to improve application performance.
  4. Work with back-end business logic and front-end development using jQuery.
  5. Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Requirements:
  1. At least 5+ years of commercial experience in PHP development.
  2. Strong knowledge of MySQL, including database optimization.
  3. Experience with caching technologies, such as Memcached, Redis, or Varnish.
  4. Good understanding of back-end business logic and front-end development using jQuery.
  5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team and operate to tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Great knowledge of Apache, specifically Mod Rewrite.
  2. Good working knowledge of Linux, including command line.
  3. Server administration experience.
  4. E-commerce experience.
