Lead Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Taverham Veterinary Practice. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading by example, and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

About the Role
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including consultations, routine surgeries, and dental work
  • Lead and mentor junior veterinarians, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to excel in their roles
  • Collaborate with our main hospital team to ensure seamless case management and transfer of complex cases
  • Oversee the running of our rehabilitation service, including treadmill hydrotherapy and in-house physiotherapy
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, staff morale, and practice efficiency
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary up to £75,000 DOE, plus a relocation allowance up to £8,000 and welcome bonus up to £10,000

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a veterinary surgeon, with a strong track record of leadership and mentorship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends and bank holidays
