Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding our veterinary team, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide top-quality care. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional who enjoys teaching, coaching, and helping others achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the team to manage a varied caseload and demonstrate ownership of their actions
- Be responsible and accountable for the entire Veterinary team
- Deliver top-class clinical standards and client care
- Responsible, accountable, and confident in dealing with management of absence
- Cover gaps in vet rota when/if other cover is not available
- Assess and audit the Veterinary team regularly and take appropriate action immediately where necessary
- Responsible for all required Veterinary duties to be completed each day
- Confidently administer high-level Veterinary care and monitor the progress of the animal
- Prioritise first aid/emergency actions to stabilise and prevent animal discomfort
- Interact effectively with the nursing team and understand the importance of good nursing
- Confident in all routine and non-routine consultations
- Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to veterinarians and veterinary nurses, helping them develop clinical skills and confidence
- Design and deliver training sessions on the latest veterinary practices, procedures, and technologies
- An attractive salary from £60,000 (dependent on experience)
- Your hours will be 30-40 hours per week, with no out-of-hours, and 1:5 weekends
- Relocation packages from within or outside the UK
