About Network Rail

We are a leading player in the UK's rail network, responsible for maintaining and improving our infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient transportation of passengers and freight.

As an Asset Maintenance Engineer with us, you will play a key role in leading and directing our Infrastructure Maintenance delivery team to achieve business and functional objectives.

Earning Potential: Up to £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and direct the Infrastructure Maintenance team to achieve business and functional objectives, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out to the highest standards.
  2. Identify and implement initiatives to improve safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
  3. Manage the inspection and maintenance of assets to standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  4. Monitor and report on key performance measures, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical competence and experience in maintenance management, processes, and techniques.
  • Detailed knowledge of safety and compliance management processes, as well as relevant standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of operational railway environment and other functional disciplines.
  • IRSE Licence holder (Signalling only) and local Accident & Incident Investigation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organisation skills.
