Housing Officer at Hamilton Woods
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housing Officer to join our team at Hamilton Woods. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class housing service to social housing tenants, conducting welcome and home visits, investigating and managing low-level cases of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), completing inspections and tenancy checks, dealing with tenancy breaches, reporting and following up on repairs, and encouraging resident engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality housing service to tenants, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
- Conduct regular welcome and home visits to new tenants, providing them with essential information and support.
- Investigate and manage low-level cases of ASB, working closely with tenants, other agencies, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Complete regular inspections and tenancy checks to ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Deal with tenancy breaches, taking prompt and effective action to resolve issues and prevent further problems.
- Report and follow up on repairs, ensuring that all necessary work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Encourage resident engagement, promoting a sense of community and supporting tenants to take an active role in their housing and community.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with tenants, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple cases and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and duties.
