Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Teacher of Deaf Children with Additional and Complex Needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting special school teachers, early years settings, and parents/carers in developing and managing approaches and provision for deaf children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support special school teachers, early years settings, and parents/carers in developing and managing approaches and provision for deaf children with additional needs.
  • Optimise outcomes for deaf children with complex needs using a thorough understanding of special school curriculum to carry out planning, assessment, teaching, training, and support for staff.
  • Provide families with balanced, unbiased support and advice to enable them to make an informed choice for their deaf children.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies involved in services to deaf children.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Teacher of the Deaf who has a strong understanding of special school curriculum and experience of working with children who have severe and profound additional and complex needs. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality education and support to deaf children and their families.
