We are seeking a skilled Life Insurance Underwriter to join our team at AMC Insurance Appointments Ltd, a fast-growing and successful Insurtech Life MGA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating applications that fall outside the parameters of our online underwriting engine, providing accurate indications of underwriting decisions, and monitoring the quality and appropriateness of our underwriting philosophy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate applications that require manual underwriting, ensuring compliance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear and concise underwriting decisions, communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with reinsurance partners to ensure seamless underwriting processes.
- Proven experience in life insurance underwriting, with a strong understanding of life, critical illness, and income protection insurance.
- Knowledge of business protection products and financial underwriting requirements.
- Understanding of the UK protection market and regulatory environment.
- ACII qualification or progress towards the CII would be an advantage.
A competitive remuneration package, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and a full-time, 100% office-based role.
