Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into general nuisance and housing issues in a proactive manner.
  • Respond to statutory planning consultations to maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with air quality duties to ensure a healthy environment.
  • Investigate public health complaints, including infectious diseases, to safeguard community health.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and strategies to drive environmental excellence.

The successful candidate will be expected to work 36 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements available. Hybrid working will be implemented to ensure seamless collaboration between colleagues and the community we serve.

Requirements

You must hold a REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health or its equivalent. We welcome applications from recently qualified EHOs who are eager to start their career with a dynamic local authority offering diverse environmental health opportunities.

Ideal candidates should possess a solid understanding of current pollution control, public health, and environmental protection practices. Training will be provided to address any areas requiring improvement.
