About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Project Manager to join our team at London North Eastern Railway (LNER). As a Digital Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of digital projects that align with our business strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of digital projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality results.
- Manage stakeholders effectively, identify and track key activities, and control budgets to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles, and optimize value against constraints.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring they feel informed and in control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate risks, and proactively manage issues to minimize delays to project timelines.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring no over/under spends beyond agreed tolerances.
- Ensure smooth handovers to Business As Usual (BAU) teams, maintaining production stability.
- Build and maintain motivated teams, developing iterative plans to drive progress.
- Support the Digital Programme Manager in planning, coordinating, and tracking project progress.
- Report on and measure project success, including customer and business benefits, CSAT impacts, revenue, and cost.
- Develop continuous improvement project schemes, incorporating EFQM/Lean project management principles.
- Support the wider business with secondary competence roles for contingency planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Management role.
- Ability to manage and lead a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
- Business-focused with an air of creativity.
- Business development and negotiation experience.
- Experience in budget management and controls.
- Ability to develop complex plans managing multiple suppliers and dependencies.
- Strong influencing and communication skills.
- Strong collaborative skills and a team player.
- Strong people leadership track record.
- Prince2 or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- EFQM/Lean Six Sigma (desirable but not essential).
- Affinity with the LNER brand values.
