Job Summary

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date. The role requires a strong focus on safety, with a commitment to complying with health and safety legislation and company processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Carry out technical repairs and PPMs to maintain a high level of service and compliance.
  2. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  3. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the helpdesk.
  4. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and advise the HVAC supervisor accordingly.
  6. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by management.
  7. Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
Requirements
  1. Educated to GCSE/Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical Equivalent Qualification.
  2. ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A as a minimum.
  3. ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications CCN, CENWAT, CPA as a minimum.
  4. City and Guilds FGas Category 1.
  5. City and Guilds 3rd Edition.
  6. Ability to service/maintain/repair/install a range of Mech & Elec HVAC plant & equipment.
  7. A working knowledge of the maintenance service within the FM industry is essential.
  8. Strong PC literacy, with experience in extracting, collating and presenting performance data.
  9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  10. Excellent planning, organising, prioritisation and project management skills.
  11. Strong results focus and accountability for performance.
  12. Effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  13. Highly flexible and self-starting.
