Lead Design Engineer

Techniche Global Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of interior trim and console components for a leading automotive manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Concept Development:
    • Create concept sheets and present to stakeholders.
    • Provide technical explanations of design changes to cost estimators.
    • Generate design estimations for cost of change from benchmark.
  • Development:
    • Prepare styling feedback on A-Surface feasibility and technical requirements.
    • Develop and manage full parts development, ensuring cost, timing, and delivery meet specifications.
    • Ensure knowledge of all regulatory requirements for each region.
    • Develop efficient and cost-effective solutions.
    • Manage, influence, and coordinate with other departments and suppliers.
  • New Model Sourcing:
    • Create RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
    • Review supplier concepts for cost and quality.
    • Analyze quotes and breakdowns.
    • Validate supplier quotes meet RFQ and concept needs.
    • Identify challenge points and queries in quotes to close.
