About the Role

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team at Cumbria Police on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial team to increase capacity and manage workload.

The ideal candidate will have skills, knowledge, and experience of working within a Public Sector procurement environment. They should be innovative, creative, and able to work effectively in a hybrid setting based in Penrith.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake quote and tender exercises in accordance with public procurement regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize Oracle/Oracle Fusion, e-tendering portals, and contract databases to support procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • CIPS level 4 or above qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of public procurement regulations and experience in a Public Sector procurement environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Oracle/Oracle Fusion and e-tendering platforms.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £24 per hour (umbrella rate). In addition to a competitive salary, you will also benefit from working with a reputable company in the Public Sector procurement industry.
