Job Description Summary

The focus for this Senior Project Manager role is on leadership and organizational skills, rather than technical knowledge. As a leader, you will be responsible for guiding a team in-person and communicating effectively with both team members and client stakeholders.

Position Summary

This is a leadership position accountable for the successful delivery of a portfolio of work to a client. The Project Manager will orchestrate a team of supervisors and engineers in the performance of their duties, including delivering contract obligations of the highest quality in the most efficient time.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive project plans and objectives to meet project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop and execute delivery and quality management plans to support a project end-to-end in a matrix environment.
  • Develop and mentor various on-site project team members to drive team key performance metrics and meet or exceed project & program targets.
  • Drive continuous project improvements and efficiencies.
  • Lead internal initiatives, managing stakeholders.
  • Analyze and evaluate statistical reports to proactively identify and improve project performance and Client deliverables.
  • Communicate in a timely, clear, and concise manner to stakeholders including Staff, Clients, and Leadership.
  • Adapt to changing program needs and expectations.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of project management experience in a metric-driven setting, working in a technology-oriented or services organization.
  • BS or BA degree from an accredited University or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills including an ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing or verbally to a wide audience including clients, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Experience managing client relationships with a demonstrated focus on delivering high-level customer service and quality improvement.
  • Experience managing internal strategic initiatives.
  • Maintains a high level of business acumen and is able to lead process improvement and innovation while driving efficiencies and change.
  • Able to effectively coach and train peers and team members.
  • Proven analytical skills including the ability to proactively identify problems, gather information, and drive course of action for self and others.
  • Innovative thinker who drives self and others in the development and implementation of new ideas; unafraid of taking risks to accomplish corporate level goals.
  • Flexible, independent, motivated self-starter who can establish a course of action for self and others and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an environment characterized by constant change, ambiguous data, and a fast-paced, deadline-driven culture; able to respond quickly and proactively to new or changed initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the big picture and use sound judgment to reach decisions while exhibiting sensitivity for all parties and issues.
