MEICA Estimator

About The Role

Morrison Water Services Ltd is seeking a highly motivated MEICA Estimator to work on our Scottish Water DV2 Framework. The role is based in our Cumbernauld, Glasgow office and involves working across a wide portfolio of projects.

As a MEICA Estimator, you will be part of the up-front team responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates across a mix of clean & wastewater projects. You will work closely with the Estimating Manager and may involve occasional travel to sites as required.

The MWS Scotland region currently delivers a number of frameworks for Scottish Water, including the Infrastructure Capital programme and the MEICA replacement operational alliance DV2 Lot 4. In addition, IDS deliver further specialist frameworks for Scottish Water as well as for a portfolio of non-regulated clients.

The DV2 Lot 4 MEICA replacement framework is a 6-year programme with an option to extend for a further 6 years. The contract delivers a diverse range of design & construction projects, including the replacement of MEICA equipment, associated civil engineering works, specialist control & automation, SCADA and telemetry works.

This new position is a Scottish based role with occasional overnight stays outside Scotland. You will be given the chance to be part of a team of professionals in the MEICA field and work with a team of dedicated individuals who are committed to excellence.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a highly motivated individual with significant practical experience with MEICA equipment and the ability to grasp the complexities of MEICA equipment and systems. You will be responsible for evaluating proposals from the supply chain for MEICA equipment, interpreting technical drawings from clients, and developing base line cost estimates and routines.

Key Requirements:

• Significant practical experience with MEICA equipment and the ability to grasp the complexities of MEICA equipment and systems
• Ability to evaluate proposals from the supply chain for MEICA equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings from clients and develop base line cost estimates and routines
• Experience of MEICA equipment and services used in the construction of Water and Wastewater Treatment Works is preferable
• Mechanical or Electrical background with knowledge of civils works
