About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Plymouth. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the compilation of pre-tender estimates, cost planning, and modeling of design and implementation options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate pre-tender infrastructure estimates, including cost planning and modeling of design options, to support tender compilation.
  • Prepare cost input to monthly reports for clients and project management for sub-contracts and/or facilities, in accordance with project procedures.
  • Review cost plans produced by subcontractors and develop them into agreed baseline budgets within the framework of the WBS and in conjunction with relevant project staff.
  • Monitor and report on subcontract costs to date, man-hours to date, and future trends/estimates to the client, project, and corporate management, and prepare forecasts of future costs, including subcontractor claim reviews.

Requirements:

  • MCIOB, MRICS, or equivalent preferred, or working towards RICS chartership.
  • Demonstrable quantity surveying experience in a construction environment.
  • NEC3 or NEC4 contracting experience is a must.

Security Clearance: Due to the security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
