About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Gray Healthcare. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to an individual with complex needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to an individual with Frontal Lobe Damage and Learning Disabilities, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication management, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, taking into account the individual's needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, promoting dignity and autonomy for the individual.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving License - Essential.
  • Social care experience, ideally within mental health, with some experience of supporting individuals with Schizophrenia.
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and Learning Disabilities.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Current Right to Work in the UK and at least 6 months of employment in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
