About Your New RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a family-owned fleet maintenance company that has been established for over 50 years. With a fleet of over 200 trucks and 1,000 trailers, this company is one of the largest privately owned transport companies in the UK. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their vehicles and contributing to their continued success.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles and trailers to the highest standards, adhering to strict health and safety requirements.
- Providing technical support from fault analysis to complete vehicle overhauls.
- Conducting pre-MOT checks and undertaking necessary repairs.
- A strong understanding of commercial vehicles and trailers, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- An HGV licence (Class 1) is desirable but not essential.
- Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Able to undertake all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician.
- A competitive salary of £43,680 per annum.
- A team MOT bonus of £60 per month (if no MOT failures).
- An attendance bonus of £520 paid annually.
- Company healthcare.
- 29 days holiday.
