Light Vehicle Mechanic

Come and join the team Due to expansion and continued growth we require skilled Light Vehicle Mechanics to join our workshop team based in Newtownabbey.
**Salary up to £40 000**:
- FTE per year dependent on qualifications and experience
**Criteria**:
- Level 3 qualified in Light Vehicle Repair OR can demonstrate proven mechanical experience in light vehicle repair
- Minimum 1 year experience in a light or commercial workshop environment
- Ability to use diagnostic systems and fault-finding techniques
- The company operates progressive learning and a skills-based pay scheme depending on qualifications and experience
- Work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment either independently or as part of a team
- Ensure that workshop standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools
- Support the development of apprentices
- HGV / LGV license desirable but not essential
- Clean driving license desirable
**Responsibilities**:
- Routine inspections of light vehicles
- PSV/MOT preparation
- Electrical/Mechanical diagnostics & repairs
- Carry out pre-planned servicing & maintenance
- Assist with roadside breakdowns
- Road test / delivery of vehicles
- Completion of relevant service sheets / job cards
