Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician with Special Interest in Fetal Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician to join our team at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. The successful candidate will have a passion for Obstetrics and a special interest in Fetal Medicine.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent post that requires the post holder to have accreditation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and be on the Specialist Register. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality obstetric services to patients, including management of obstetric patients at consultant level, labour ward management, and decision-making regarding high-risk obstetric patients.

The post holder will also be responsible for organizing, managing, and being responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients at Musgrove Park Hospital. You will be provided with shared office accommodation and will share a secretary resource.

Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC)
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
  • MSc or equivalent
Clinical Experience
  • Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics equivalent to that required for a UK CCT
  • Statement regarding appropriate training and experience
  • ATSM in Fetal Medicine (as a minimum) and relevant experience
  • Subspecialty training in Fetal Medicine
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
