About the Role

As a Community Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation of offenders and protecting the public. This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives.

The Probation Service works with offenders who are pre or post-release from prison or serving community sentences. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage risks, provide information to courts, and work closely with agencies throughout the justice system to support offenders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and managing risks associated with offenders
  • Providing information to courts and other stakeholders
  • Collaborating with agencies to develop effective rehabilitation plans

You will work with medium and lower-risk clients, assessing their needs and developing strategies to address any challenges they may face. Your expertise will help offenders turn their lives around, building a rewarding professional career and contributing positively to society.

About You

We are looking for individuals with experience working with people who have social or personal difficulties. You will need to be empathetic, patient, and resilient, with good writing skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate reports under tight deadlines. A degree is not essential, but you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
