About the Role

Thames Water seeks a skilled Project Manager to oversee project success and develop cost-effective solutions for communities. As a key member of our Waste team, you will be responsible for designing projects in London's sewage pipes and ensuring top-notch service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote a proactive health, safety, and environment culture across complex and high-risk Project portfolios and our service providers.
  • Develop and deliver an optimized project to achieve all regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets.
  • Accountability throughout the project lifecycle, governance compliance, and internal/external stakeholder engagement lead to the smooth transition of the project outcomes into the operational business.
  • Protect, manage, and enhance Thames Water's reputation with external customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop project briefs, including supplementary information for the project's subsequent early contractor involvement phase.
  • Support the development and definition of the tender package(s), including the scope of work to support the Procurement team through each stage of the tender process, ensuring demanding timescales are met.
  • Manage the project's 'route to consent' strategy, highlighting program and project risks relating to required consents, and considering any potential early works.
  • Manage and assure the performance of contractors to deliver project outcomes on time, cost, and quality.

What You'll Need

  • A background in construction or utilities-based projects.
  • Knowledge of the project's life cycle and how to communicate this with external and internal stakeholders.
