About the Role

Vivid Resourcing Ltd are working in partnership with a local council authority to deliver an interim role for a Housing Options Officer.

This hybrid position involves working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, depending on the team rota and duty desk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for determining duties owed towards potentially homeless applicants under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload and undertake investigations to make sound, timely decisions
  • Determine eligibility for homelessness assistance and support
  • Develop and deliver training events and materials relating to homelessness

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with at least 3 years of experience as a Homelessness Prevention Officer within the Public Sector.

Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

A comprehensive knowledge of housing legislation, welfare reforms, and the Homeless Reduction Act is essential.

Additionally, candidates should have experience managing complex client caseloads and ad-hoc cases.

An understanding of administrative systems and IT software is also required.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum is available for this exciting opportunity.
