Overview

Nightingale Nursing & Care Home is a purpose-built care home located in the heart of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield. We provide personal, nursing, and dementia care to 49 residents.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £14.15 per hour plus incentives. Our benefits package includes:

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our residents' independence, choice, dignity, and respect. They will lead our team to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents by providing the highest standard of care.

  • Administer medication
  • Support carers with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and eating
  • Lead shift handovers and provide input on resident care plans
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3)
  • Minimum one year's experience in a residential or nursing home setting
  • Awareness of Person-Centred Care Planning principles
  • A full driving licence
  • Satisfactory Care Character Assessment
  • Live within 30 minutes of the care home
Preferred Requirements

Desirable qualifications include:

  • NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above
  • Two years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home
  • One year's experience working in a residential or nursing home; or two years' experience in a Senior Care role in a residential or nursing home
  • One year's experience caring for residents living with dementia
