Job Title: Engineering Manager

Industry: Food and Beverage Manufacturing

Location: Southern Yorkshire

Salary: £55,000-£60,000

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm


Job Summary

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in Southern Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing engineering staff and refining engineering processes to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee staff and delegate tasks to engineering teams.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Lead teams in creating new products, solutions, and workflows.
  • Manage internal projects and provide support for external ones.
  • Prepare downtime reports and present findings.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in their field or industry.
  • Ensure processes comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure site compliance with HSE Systems.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Manage the PPM schedule, making progress visible to a broader audience.
  • Oversee site fabrication and ensure GMP audit issues are resolved.
  • Implement measures to minimize the risk of foreign body contamination.
  • Prepare weekly reports and updates for senior management.
  • Effectively manage utilities.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and manage budgets efficiently.

  • Strong skills in managing personnel and overseeing projects.
  • In-depth expertise in industry technology and processes.
  • Strategic mindset paired with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in using presentation tools to convey complex information to non-technical managers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages concurrently.
  • Experience using company systems (NAV, tensor, PHR).
  • IOSH/NEBOSH + Understanding and implementation of PUWER regulations.
