Role Summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a highly skilled Synthetic Fuels Engineer to drive the development and optimization of synthetic fuels from renewable resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop processes for the production of synthetic fuels, leveraging expertise in chemical engineering principles and thermodynamics.
  • Conduct research and development to improve existing synthetic fuel production methods and explore new technologies, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Analyse and interpret data from experiments and simulations to inform process improvements and innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement protocols and standards for testing and validation of synthetic fuel processes and products, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the scale-up and transfer of synthetic fuel processes from the lab to full-scale production, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a master's or PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience in synthetic fuel process development and optimization, with a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and process control.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software for process simulation and analysis, such as HYSYS and Aspen Plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability, with a commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the field.
