Job Title: Healthcare Assistant Women's Health Unit

This is an exciting opportunity to join the gynaecology nursing team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust as a Healthcare Assistant.

As a key member of the Women's Health Unit team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with registered nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key responsibilities include assisting with patient care, documenting care provided, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and responding to clinical emergencies.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, promoting the Trust's values and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care.

This role is based at Redditch and offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Main Duties:

  • Assist with patient care, including direct delivery of high-quality patient care and documentation of care provided.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, including the set up and clean down of clinic spaces, trolleys, and disposal of clinical waste.
  • Respond to clinical emergencies and answer telephone calls, taking messages and informing appropriate persons of the call.
  • Assist with the transfer of patients, using correct manual handling techniques and equipment as required.

Person Specification:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key qualifications include GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent, and experience of working within a nursing team.

Able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a valuable addition to our team.
