**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our team as a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer.
The role includes:
- Managing and reporting on the Council's finances, including year-end audit reports and VAT.
- Updating the Parish Council website.
- Confidence to deal with members of the public, councillors, local government bodies, contractors.
- Confident in the use of Office, Word, Excel and website updates.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and career in local government.
**What You'll Do**
As our new Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finances of the council, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will also be required to update the Parish Council website and provide administrative support to the council.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
**Working Arrangements**
This is a part-time role, working from home with occasional attendance at meetings held at Leadenham Village Hall. The salary for this role is based on the national scale recommended for Parish Clerks.
