As a Pediatric Orthopedic Specialist at Hawke's Bay Hospital, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Orthopaedic Department. About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the assessment and treatment of patients with orthopaedic problems. You will work closely with our experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons and have access to state-of-the-art facilities.

About Our Team

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team of 9 Registrars, working closely with 4 House Officers and 9 Orthopaedic Surgeons. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your trauma and elective surgical exposure, as well as experience a wide variety of inpatient cases and attend outpatient clinics, theatre, and clinical meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with orthopaedic problems
  • Work closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Participate in clinical meetings and Grand Rounds
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completed a placement within Orthopaedic surgery
  • Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • Suitable for Resident Medical Officers PGY3 or above
