Regional Asset Manager

We are seeking a skilled Regional Asset Manager to join our team at Biffa. As a Regional Asset Manager, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction for the regional fleet workshops, ensuring the highest levels of client satisfaction and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Fleet Manager in managing customer requirements and delivering consistent high levels of service.
  • Monitor and improve the regions fleet performance using the fleet management system to ensure compliance, maintenance of data integrity, and maximise the availability of the fleet assets to the business.
  • Manage third-party service providers via SLAs and Biffa compliance procedures.
  • Review financial and operational performance, managing operational assets and/or staff, to deliver a profitable business with great customer service standards.
  • Ensure fleet management system is monitored for accuracy of workshop input, including job cards, purchase orders, compliance data, and monitor and action any overdue events showing in the system.
  • Actively manage to business performance measures, reviewing and taking appropriate action to ensure optimum return on assets.
  • Accountable for the auditing of Health and Safety within the region in line with the Company health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant technical qualification is essential.
  • Hold a valid driving license.
  • Management experience of a B2B service delivery region/area.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fleet business.
  • Knowledge of maintaining vehicles in line with DVSA guide to roadworthiness.
  • Operational knowledge of workshop working practices, including all H&S legislation.
  • Understanding the requirements of the Operator's Licence.
  • Knowledge of workshop procedures and DVSA testing regime and processes.
  • Keeping abreast of any technical and legislative updates.
  • Good understanding of MOT inspection standards.
  • Experience of managing in a labour-intensive, multi-shift environment.
