Specialist Education Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Education Coordinator to join our RIBBONS AND REEVES team. As a Specialist Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students with complex needs, including Autism, SEMH, and Speech and Language challenges.

Role Summary:
  • This is a full-time term time only Specialist Education Coordinator role (long-term contract until July 2025)
  • Collaborate with experienced SEND professionals, specialist teachers, and educational psychologists, gaining valuable expertise in special education
  • The role comes with a competitive salary of £21,000 - £25,600 per annum (£400-£500 per week)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of student welfare
  • Contribute to effective classroom behaviour management and learning strategies
  • Assist with daily tasks, including lesson transitions and personal care when required

This position is based at a vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets, recognized for its exceptional learning environment. The school features a dedicated SEN provision and a collaborative team of staff who work diligently to create a positive and nurturing atmosphere.

Required Qualifications:
  • A first-class or 2:1 Psychology related degree from a top 20 UK university
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential
