We are seeking a highly skilled Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our nursing team in a thriving practice located in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

This is a full-time role for 40 hours per week with no OOHs (out-of-hours work). The salary on offer is from £32,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

The successful candidate will have several years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, including time in a leadership or senior nurse role. They will be confident in all areas of nursing, including surgery, patient care, and diagnostics.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team and delegate effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.

In addition to their clinical skills, the Head Veterinary Nurse will be comfortable with handling administrative duties, including rostering and stock management. They will assist all colleagues with duties to support the smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.
