About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Director to lead our Surgical Services division. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to drive the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire staff to develop, deliver, and improve services within the Surgical Services division.
  • Agree the strategic direction and objectives of the division through engagement with clinical, nursing, and operational teams.
  • Deliver on the Trust's strategic goals and ensure local and national targets are achieved.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to improve patient care and experience.
  • Work closely with local partners to integrate care and clinical pathways.

Requirements

  • Master's degree level or equivalent qualification.
  • Management qualification, such as a postgraduate diploma in management studies.
  • Evidence of recent continuous professional development at a senior level, including leadership development.
  • Experience of managing and developing staff in line with the NHS Leadership Framework.
  • Demonstrated understanding and recent experience of project management skills.
  • Performance management methodology.
  • Demonstrate use of evidence-based practice.
