Job Title: Adult Counsellor

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time

Location: Preston, Lancashire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will provide individual counselling services to students, employing a variety of techniques tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer individual counselling services to students, utilizing a range of techniques to meet individual needs;
  • Attend and contribute to peer supervision sessions;
  • Work collaboratively with the Achievement Tutor team and Designated Safeguarding lead and their deputies;
  • Contribute to the development of the Counselling team and wellbeing services;

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Counselling, minimum Diploma standard;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with students of varying ages and backgrounds;
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults;
  • Knowledge of the developmental, emotional, social, and educational issues affecting students;
